THE VISIT IN AN ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION HIGH-MEDIUM VOLTAGE

These days I am visiting a substation 150/20KV in the area of Almiros in Volos, Greece. The contractor of the station is the Aktor s.a with subcontractor the ABB s.a. This station is built for the needs of a PV power plant (10MWp), which is 3Km away.

MUD THE BIG PROBLEM!!

One of the bigest problems in construction of PV plants is the mud. Fortunately the grounds in Greece have rarely mud and more frequent have rocks. Here is a nud situation!!

Wagon Drill in PV Site

When the ground in a PV site is very hard and there are rocks or big stones, we usually use wagon drill machines to make a hole Φ150-200 mm, 2 m long. Then we fill the hole with concrete using a bobcat with mixer.
