Elster Meter a UK Tool

This the most common Generation Meter by Elster Company, that is instaled in PV solar farms in UK. Every time we connect a project, we have to take a photo of the meter as proof / evidence of the production.
In this photo have to be clearly shown: i) the date of production, ii) the total export and iii) the serial number of the meter.
Note that the total export has to be more than 100 kWh, in order to be shown on the meter.

At this point I would like to note that this is not a real problem, it is more a visual issue for the construction.

Silton solar park 5MW, construction period February - March 2014

A time lapse of the building of Silton solar park, built around February, March 2014. 

The solar park is 27 acres big and can produce 4,850,000 kWh over the course of a year and has a capacity of 5 MWp. UK had 100mm of rain in the two weeks before Biosar started building and 240mm during the build period.

Earthing Cad -Welds

Hi to all,

Something new!!! Cad weld technique is used for connecting the earthing. The following video shows a connection in a solar farm in England. This way of earthing connection is very common in England, in Greece is used very rare in special construction like electric substation of High Voltage.

In an other post I will present all the parts that are needed to make this weld.
